Thought of posting it on Healthy and Tasty , but then I am not sure if it qualify as a recipe. Potato cutlets in various shapes for the prince of the house.
Aryan first look was of surprise. Second he tried pasting them to sky. Third he took a few bites :-) Worth the effort..what do you say ?

I am more quirky or Aryan ?
Thanks to K3 and Emaan's mom, I was tagged twice to write Aryan's quirks but then I thought let me write Aryan's and mine. Now you can decide whether I am more quirky or Aryan.
These are the rules:
1.Link the person(s) who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog (here they are!)
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours...
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.
Mine
1. I keep checking my mailbox for new comments every 15 minutes.
2. I cannot leave a mail unread, whatever it may be.
3. When I eat . I clean my plate till the last grain.
4. I drink water after having hot milk, after sweets and after fruits but never after ice creams.
5. I cannot buy a foot wear easily. It has to be super duper comfortable.
6. I can sleep any time and anywhere.
Aryan's
1. He cannot see Mummy or papa barefoot. He runs to get slippers for us. Yesterday he woke up at midnight due to cough. So while he was awake, he started crying because I was standing barefoot :-P .
2. He feels that the cook needs all the vessels in the house for cooking and keep giving him one after the other.
3. He thinks that only Nanu(My father) calls me on my phone , so if its my phone , he needs to talk to Nanu.
4. He loves his shoes and so if you wish to remove his pants , do it without removing the shoes.
5. If Mumma opens the window in the car , papa should follow and vice versa. And why can the AC be not on , with glasses down.
6. He calls me papa at times.
And I tag Prisha and her mom, Kuttan and his mom and Rishab and his mom. Do it as you like it , as 2 tags or as 1.
P.S : Aryan's quirks will be replicated on his blog as well for record, but not as a tag.

You know your son is a GROWN UP boy when...
... He orders you to keep quiet (by crying or shouting) , as you are humming a song / lullababy to him(NOW , you know how bad I sing).
...He refuses to give / accept a kiss.

Chiyya Tutu
I always try to ask Aryan about his day at the day care. Thats a different story that he had not been able to tell me much really, except for some nods to my questions.
Last week though ,I initiated the topic , when he was lying between both of us , just before the sleep. He told me a full story with full animation and eye movements. All I could get was "Chiyya","TuTu" and that he got hurt under his chin.
The next day I asked his Paati (Care Taker in day care) that did he break any toy yesterday. And I was amused to hear what she told me. She told me that Aryan and another kid were pulling a bird toy from both sides and the toy broke into two pieces and Aryan got hurt under his chin , due to the jerk. And that she made them say sorry to each other and do a hand shake.
So that was indeed our first communication where he gave me some feed back about his day at the day care. A milestone , I don't know if it is , but sure a big success and relief for me.
Now another aspect of the story that he has not been able to forget the incident. And everytime I talk to him about the day care , he ends up telling , "Chiyya Tutu" , meaning "Bird Broke". I am yet to figure out why is he not being able to forget the same.
Parenting is not easy , I tell you.
(This post has been written here as well , just the conversation part. The parenting blues come as part of "Whats on My Mind".)

What Parenthood Do to People...
All the mothers and fathers to be , read along and you will know what parenthood do to man and woman:
On the way to Aryan's day care , there is an old locality , where you can see lot of stray animals , as in dogs and cows. So yesterday while we were driving back from office through that locality ,to pick up Aryan , we saw a man taking a pair of cows with pointed big horns. I was thinking , if we would have picked up Aryan already , he would have been thrilled to see the cows , especially with those big horns. Right then , Anupam said ,"Ohho, we are late , else would have shown the cows to Aryan." And I broke into laughter, saying that it was exactly what was on my mind. And Anupam replied , "Kya kare ab bache ko cow dekhna pasand hai na.." and laughed along.

ThunderStorm and Aryan
Yesterday night Aryan experienced his first Thunderstorm. When I say experienced , that does not mean that we were out under the sky. Thankfully we got in just 5 minutes before it started. Soon after , we could hear the noise of wind and falling leaves. Then of unbolted doors and tin sheets from the neighbourhood.
Initially Aryan did not pay any attention. Soon the sound of rain made the whole sound effect more horrifying.Aryan was having a confused look and was little distracted at times but then when I told him , all is well, he got little relieved.
It was not long when power went off. Now Aryan got too clingy to Mumma. The emergency light was switched on , but since this was the first power sutdown for the year , he was not able to understand the logic. He insisted on switching on the fan. When we told him that its not possible he insisted on for the TV to watch his rhymes.
I did not expect the cook and so was worried about cooking the dinner too, but Aryan decided not to go to his papa too. So Anupam made Maggi for instant relief and we decided that we would think about dinner later. When the storm settled we got out and inquired with the security , only to know that there will not be any power whole night. A tree has fallen and taken a poll along. Anupam decided to walkdown to a near by restaurant to fetch some dinner.
Aryan remained clingy to my shoulder /lap till the time he slept. Thankfully he slept peacefully in the mosquito net for the rest of the night.
Electricity did come later in night , only 1 phase though. Today morning also Aryan was not comfortable with the darkness and I finished the work somehow. We read the paper to know that a lot of trees fell down and took so many electricity polls along. One tree fell on some's Honda Civic and the car got crushed. I was wondering what would have the owner went through. I mean a new car and that too Honda Civic :(
I hope we will have electricity by the evening.

Now ..Lets Count 5
~nm tagged me of 5 things I do when I get back home. I am sure my list would be different from every one else's. Here it goes.
1. Open the door and dump the belongings inside.
2. Stand in the common area of the apartment at a fixed point decided by Aryan (Anupam does the same and we have fixed stations) and see him running around the hall and smile at him when he sees you.
3. Run inside to fetch a glass of water , when Aryan is too busy running.
4. Convince Aryan to get inside the house, after 5 minutes or so.
5. Give him milk and then hunt something to munch.
Now I tag , JLT ,Rayshama & anyone and everyone who would love to take it up!

Quite a Brat He Is !
Aryan is being quite a brat these days. His aggression leaves me dumbstuck.
You just don't do what he wants and he will cry out as crazy. That is still okay. What more is , he will hit me, scratch my face and pull my hair.
Shopping for my brother's wedding has been a horrible experience, especially on last two weekends. I understand that he gets bored and I do my best to keep him entertained but he is completely on non-cooperation movement. Last to last week I was shopping for him and I made him try a few dresses. So I gave him a benifit of doubt that he is angry for he has to try so many coats.
But last sunday , he tested my patience and I lost.
We were shopping for Hubby and I did everything to keep him entertained. But he pulled my hair , scratched my face , fought with all the kids in shop.I got so pissed off that I took him to the mother's room and let him cry for sometime , while I sat there. I know that was not the right thing to do but I did not know what to do.
At home also , he gets angry over small things and shows it by pulling my hair and hitting and scratching.
My policy is not to give in to his anger and divert him to something else. It works at times but not always.
Could anyone tell me whats going wrong.

Milestone Month !!
I don't usually write updates. It just don't click to me. But DECEMBER was the MILESTONE month for Aryan. So "update toh banta hai bhaiya" ..:D
And why do I say so ?
1.My little Aryan walks now. Though he is still to discover that walking is better than crawling. To him , walking is still a game. But he does !!!! And he enjoys...you should see that acheivement on his face !!!!This was something which was on my mind since so long and its such a relief now.
2.Remember the fight we had over his feeding bottles in the month of August. We have compromised on a sipper. They always win you see but I did not loose this time.
3. He keeps learning and forgeting words. So now that he has forgotten to say "Nahi" , he has learnt to say "Bow Bow"
4. He has recently started loving books and he likes to spend some time with his favourite animal book every day.
4. He knows his 'nosy' and his 'tummy' and he can show you as well.

Language Problem
Our mother tongue is Hindi and I know no other language except Hindi and English. And that is what we use to communicate with Aryan , mostly Hindi and sometimes a little English. Aryan goes to a day care and the owner of the place and most of the maids over there are Tamilians. Some of the maids are Kannadica. So what should Aryan do ? At this age my little sweetheart has to listen 4 different languages. What does he pick ? Another problem is , if he picks a word in Hindi , the maids will not understand him and if he picks a word in Tamil , we won't understand.Anupam and I have been thinking about this from quite sometime and this has driven us nuts. How will Aryan learn to speak in such a situation ?

Names of Love
Nicknames tag passed on to me by Kodi. I have always loved nicknames and I myself have many. I think nicknames are nothing but an expression of love by our near and dear ones. Some of them are temporary while others stick forever.Ofcourse , at a certain age , we can find them embarrassing, especially since they do not suit the age and time then.Even I know a few 50 years old Baby(s) and Pappu(s).So I always thought I would get Aryan a nick name which will not get embarrasing with time. But we could not stick to a nick name for him and so though he has many , none of them is a permanent one.
I know there are different school of thoughts about it and probably thats why Kodi's Mom called it as the most embarrasing tag ever. So I dropped the idea of writing this post on Times of Aryan. Since Aryan might grow up with a different opinion and would not like to read this post.
So here I go with all the new/old temporary funny / not-so-funny nicknames of Aryan.
Nanmun - Before he was born and before we knew he was a HE or a SHE , we called him Nanmum (Little one) This one lasted till he got his actual name. People who have not been informed of his real name (Friends/Relatives who contact us once in years), still know him as Nanmun.
Vishu and Veduu - As per horoscope , his name should have been from the letter 'V' , so this is what we initially thought of calling him.
Aru - Shortened version of Aryan.Anupam and I somestimes call him by this name.
Chotu (small) - Aryan's Nana, Nani and Mamu usually address him as Chotu only. Definitely I do not want this one to stick with him.
Meethu (sweet) , Betu (son - malformed from 'Beta') and Pyaru (Lovable) - Aryan's Taiji coined all these terms and his dada dadi also calls him Betu.
Baeboo - Aryan's Papa calls him Baeboo , a malformed version of the word Baby. His dadi loved it and picked it.Definitely I do not want this one too to stick with him.
Kutti Baby - His caretaker calls him with this name.
Editted to Add :
Ganja Man - Anupam started calling him this after his Mundan and this still continues since Aryan has less hair.
Puchu Baby - Another name given to him by Papa.
Bhaiya - His Nanu -Nani calls him Bhaiya ..strange isn't it..even I think so.
RoluPolu,Sonu,RajaBeta,Chuha (rat), khargosh(rabbit),Teddy Bear are some more used by me once in a while.
Now I pass this on to Trishna , NanhiPari ,JustLikeThat and WhatsinAName.

Apprehensive About Milestones
Aryan is almost one year and 2 months old.He is not yet walking. He pulls up to stand with support and moves a few steps with support , but he never attempts to move without support. Some say thats okay while others say he is late.
He speaks only 2 words clearly , which are Mumma and Papa. There are 2 more word like sounding noises ,"bahar" and "aaja". But only I claim them to be words.
I have spoken to his doctor about these issues and he said , we have nothing to worry as yet. So, why this post ? Am I worried at the back of my mind ? Am I apprehensive ?
I do not know if I should believe in Jyothish (astrology) or not. But quite recently my father's astrologer friend said Aryan will walk only when he will be 1.5 years old and talk when he is close to 2 years. Since I admit , that despite of having a logical mind , I do believe in astrology to some extent at the back of my mind , I should no longer be worried. Especially when both the doctor and astrologer speak similiar.
But probably I am even more worried now. One reason is the social pressure. Whoever calls these days , asks us with great confidence "Aryan must be walking now ?" and we have to say no. To which they will console us , "Oh that its ok" (Though they never sound convincing).
Now with 4 more months to go before he actually walks (as per the astrologer , if thats true), I am not prepared to address all those phone calls. Plus we have a vacation planned in November , when we will face all the relatives. I am not prepared to address and bear with their apprehensions about my son.Nor do I have any valid answer ready for them. I definitely do not want to say about the prediction , since even I am not fully convinced by that.
Another reason ofcourse is the fear of unknown.I do not trust astrology 100%. Doctor said nothing to worry as YET. Four months seems like four years to me.
Probably only time will answer my fears. Meanwhile , I can do nothing much about the apprehensions , both mine and of others.

Fighting over the bottle
I was planning for this since quite a long time. But I did not have the courage. So each weekend I would have one of the following excues ready."He is not well today","Guests will be here , we don't want a cranky baby that time","We have to do some unavoidable shopping, he will trouble without milk" and what not.
This weekend though I decided to go for this, without a second thought. So I started on saturday morning. He had just one sip and then we compromised for a slice of bread instead of milk.He had his lunch and slept well and woke up to have 2-3 sips of milk.We again compromised with alternate foods.Bed time milk is his favourite though. He cried for the longest 15 minutes of my life.He begged and complained and was furious , but nothing worked with the bad momma , who sat still with a glass of milk. She kissed and patted but did not give him a bottle of milk.My little baby slept without milk and I cried with a broken heart while I fed him with a bottle of milk ,as he slept.
That was not all , he woke up with some bad cough. But mumma's heart did not melt.Morning went without milk.Early in the evening though mumma was about to give up and was feeling pathetic when the little sweetheart came and kissed mumma.Soon after , he had about half a glass and that again made his mumma a little confident.
I have a bad habit of feeling happy a little too early. Not a single sip at night.I took off for today.I was optimistic that half glass may turn to one today. But not a single sip since morning. At around 3.00 he had a few sips through straw but that was all.To add to this ,now he is not having milk during sleep too. Can I feel more miserable in my life than what I feel today. A hungry little baby sleeping next to me and I being a BAD BAD MUMMA.
I feel like quiting. Not that I did not feel like this in past 3 days , but then I had a satisfaction that he is not left out hungry. Now that he is hungry since morning and had only half of his lunch , I feel miserable. I always thought I will not give up because then he will know how to get his things done , but then I guess he already knows that.
Please God Help!

Some days are bad..
Like the ones when you have to see your little sweet heart coughing BADLY..
Like the ones when your baby does not eat for he is scared of throwing up again..
Like the ones when the frequency of your cutie's crying is more than smiles..
Like the ones when the father also has same infections as the son..
Some days are REALLY BAD..
P.S. Will post more when the days are not as bad as they are today.

The Story of Aryan's Birth - 1 year ago
I wanted to do this as a journal entry on Aryan's website about an year ago..but with a young baby, I missed that. May be today is the best day to recall ,the maximum I can , and do Aryan's Birth story..so here it goes.
20th July, last year was like any other day in 3rd trimester of pregnancy.I went for my daily walk with Mummy.Like any other day I was wondering , when is baby planning to come.In fact I was getting restless day by day. Most of my friends due in july had already delivered.I had slight pain in pelvic area , but I did not take that seriously.Since my BH were getting severe every day now , I assumed my restless and pain to be some part of rehearsal .. :-) That day I could not sleep nicely ..but that was not very different..:-)...most of my days were similar. The difference was my urge for restroom trips was more frequent and I had pain in turning to sides.
Then it happenned... :-D. It was 5.45 am on 21st July when my water broke.I was wet and bleeding too. I woke up my husband saying that lets go to hospital. He called up doctor immediately and she also asked us to come to hospital as soon as possible. She pacified me not to worry. Some how I felt I was not as worried as I always thought i would be.Anupam woke up Mummy and we gave finishing touches to our already packed bags.I brushed my teeth and got ready. No pains yet...:(
We reached labour suite. It was 7 in the morning.I was given a bed to lie down and wait. They had a word with my doctor and i was given induction through a gel at 7.40 am. The doctor on duty told me that cervix is too posterior and she could not touch that.I was made to lie down and wait for pain.Meanwhile I was given idlis for breakfast. At about 9.30 I started getting some contractions. They were about 10 mins apart but not regular.I was getting 3-4 contractions and then there was a lull period , when I used to relax. At around 11.00 am I was getting contractions taht were 3-5 mins apart but still they were not regular and there was still a lull period after 4-5 contractions. The doctor asked a nurse to time my contractions. She placed her hand on my tummy and said that the pain I am getting are not contractions. My uterus should tighten while I get contractions and I should feel the pain in the entire stomach and not just lower abdomen and back.I was not feeling any tightening and there was no pain in upper part of tummy. It was a so demoralizing for me.Afetr some time I had a chance to speak to the doctor on duty and I asked her if what I was feeling are contractions ? she smiled at me and said ofcourse though they are not good enough.I thought , is it because i am not shouting loud , they feel so ? Though my lower back and lower abdomen paine like hell,I was trying hard not to shout.Thats because my mother in law told me that shouting will not help me and I thought she was right .I was already feeling very thirsty and I thought shouting and crying will make me dehydrated and I will loose my energy.I was feeling sleepy between the contractions.I tried hard not to sleep and concentrated on the gossiping going on between nurses doctors , nurses as well as 2 other patients and their attendents .. :-) Meanwhile they allowed me to meet my mother in law at about every 2 hours.
At about 2 pm my doctor came. She examined me and said that I am dilated between 1-2 cms.My cervix is still posterior and she thinks I will deliver only till night. She inserted a pill to improve contractions. After she left , I was wondering , perhaps pregnancy is the only thing where both patients and doctors are waiting for pain to aggravate intead of soothing that.I had my lunch.I was getting juices every 2 hours which I was not feeling like drinking. All I wanted was water.I was asking for water every 15 mins.Pain was getting severe.I was murmuring "OM" or "Please God Help me" or "I know i can do it" kind of phrases.I wanted someone to massage by back.i felt that my back will tear off.My husband and mother in law was around to comfort me.They gave me enema ,to ease my urge to pass.
At about 6 pm the resident doctor examined me and said that I am only 3-4 cms dilated and its going to take a long time.At 6.30 my Gynae came back and based on the resident doctor's examination ,she said that she will come back to see me at 9.00 pm.Time was passing really slow.I was feeling strong urge to go to rest rooms which was ignored by the resident doctor. She told me that it was because baby was pushing. At 9.30 pm there was no sign of my Gyane. Now I lost all my patience and told the dc , please let me know if the doctor is going to come at all.I started begging them to call the doctor.I told them that I have a strong urge to pass motion and I cannot hold any longer. The resident doctor then examined me at about 9.45 and she was almost shocked. She said "Ohh My GOD ..Baby is Here ..She is Completely Dialated , shift her soon ,else she will deliver in 10 minutes"( I was supposedto be shifted to a suite at 6-7 cms dilation , where I would deliver). There was panic, someone was rushing for wheel chair , someone was calling doctor , someone was calling my husband.I was in shock and surprise.Within 15 minutes I was in the suite and my doctor just came running (in Anupam's language , she appeared like God). All the preparations went in super fast manner. The doctor asked me to push and Anupam and MIL were with me. At 10.35 pm on 21st July 2006 Aryan was born. The 16 hours of pain , turned into a sweet little baby. The doctor showed me the baby and I did not know , how to react.I was just blank.I looked at the baby and gave a customary kiss on the forehead. It was only after an hour when I actually took the baby in my lap. After another hour , I was happily nurturing my sweet heart.
That night I slept for just 2 hours , that too in two shifts. Not because Aryan did not let me sleep (rather he slept for 5 hours at a stretch) but may be because I was too excited to sleep.

Another milestone !
Day 2 (Thursday)
We decided that I should join for the drop even today. We kissed Aryan and said bye to him , before handing him over to the maid.We told him that we will come to pick him up and he can have fun till then.Told him not to cry and eat well.He did not cry while going to her and till he could see us.We heard him crying from inside though.
I called around 11.30 and she told , he was not crying and had morning snacks. She said all the morning he did not let anyone come near to him and cried when we took him to other kids. Then I called around 3.00, he has had his lunch. He slept for 1 hour in the morning and 2 hours in evening.Paati said that he was quiet but wanted to be alone.Evening he started little bit crawling in his room though.I told her that he might be scared of too many people and asked her to leave him with 2-3 kids.It worked and she told that he loved observing them.Anupam picked him up around 5.30 and he told Aryan was crawling in the room when he reached.
Day 3 (Friday)
Anupam dropped him to the place and I said a bye to him , before I got down for my office. He cried while going to the maid.He ate usual. He crawled outside to the other room.He made friends with Paati and maids, but was still scared to go near the kids.He loved watching them from distance though.
Evening I decided to give a surprise visit and spend sometime there , playing with him.He could sense me as I stepped in.He was playing and the door was half shut , but as I stepped he turned around and cried for me.He was happy as soon as I took him in my arms.He smiled at everyone from my lap.But did not want me to sit there.Wanted to come back home.He looked for his papa , as he heard a car horn, who planned to pick us up after 30 minutes. So ,aryan and I roamed inside the place, talking to kids and maids and Paati.Idea was to make him feel at home.I could see that he was not scared of anyone. But was just not comfortable as there were so many kids.I made him play with another kid , but the other kid dominated as he was little older. Aryan greeted his Papa with a smile.
On the whole , it seems that things will be good very soon.Another milestone achieved for the baby and more importantly for the parents !!!
The D (Day Care) Day !
I know some of you would have checked the page for this post.I know, I should have posted this before. But I decided to keep shut for some time about the topic. You can say I was sitting with my fingers crossed.Did not want to be happy too soon.
So the story goes like this.We planned to take Aryan to the day care on the 'important monday' (as Manasi describes it) ,i.e, 2nd July.We started preparing Aryan mentally for the change from Saturday by letting him know that he is going to have loads of fun with kids of his age all day and get a long car ride to and fro. So he will not be bored when Mumma Papa are not around and so on. God only knows though if he understood.
Monday morning , after bath , when I put the diaper to him ..he asked me "uuh ?" as if "why diaper ?" (we dont use diaposable diapers at home) and I told him that he has to go to school from today. He started getting clingy and making noise ..as if saying .."nooo ..dont want to go" ..but no crying.
Though Anupam will be usually driving him there , I wanted to join on day 1 but Anupam was somehow not convinced about me going all the way in a different direction.Me on the other hand wanted to give all the info about by baby , first hand to the care taker.
Well , I did not go and Anupam and my Papa drove Aryan to the place. The Paati(as I would call the care taker from now) was delighted to see that my parents are still around and she adviced Anupam to come back after 2 days. She said that 2 kids are not well and Aryan might get infection , so not a good day to begin with. With all the anxities over the weekends , sleepless nights and horrible dreams , we were pissed off , since the begining we were waiting for, had been delayed by 2 days. Now , 2 more days of wait.
All that happens , happens for good. I was allowed to join anupam to the place on Wednesday,4th July. When we reached there the maid grabbed Aryan from Anupam and rushed inside , while I was taking out his bag from the car.I updated Paati with his supplies and his habits to my satisfaction.Gave her a list of supplies. In my anxiety I did not realize that I did not even bid a usual bye , to my baby.I realized that quite late while we were returning and this guilt bothered me the whole day.He would have felt ,Mumma did not even tell me , if she will return or not like she does every day.
That day , I guess we could hardly work in our offices. I called Paati around 11.00 and she told me that he is fine and crying a bit now and then and had a banana. Around 12.30 Anupam called her and she told that he had lunch but did not sleep , not crying though ,lying on his bed quietly ,sometimes talking to himself. Around 2.30 ,he was sleeping and she planned to give him milk after he woke up.I sobbed in satisfaction when I heard that.
We planned to pick him up around 4 and both of us reached there at 4.00.He could hear us from inside as we said 'Hi' to Paati and he cried. When I took him in my lap , he cried and complained.I did not know how to console him , infact I wanted to cry I guess. So I held him tight in my arms for 2 minutes and he was quiet. Then he went to his Papa and complained again for few seconds. Soon we were on the way home , with Aryan in my lap , smiling and singing.
Will write another post about the next few days.
P.S: We used car seat for first time on monday , and that went well too.He enjoyed sitting and having a view I guess and we kept a supply of wierd things to keep him busy.

To Hit or To Sit ?
A cousin with her 3 years old daughter, came for a sleepover this weekend. The little girl was so attracted to 'Chota Baby' and his toys.It so happened that all through the saturday , she kept on taking toys from Aryan's hands.Though there were enough toys around , somehow they both wanted to play with same one at a time. And so she being elder would take all from him and he could only wail. Her mother kept on telling her to take some other toys but..
Finally on saturday night Aryan lost patience. As she touched the toy , he was playing with , Aryan held her hand and moved that away. Now it was her turn to wail.Well , the episode was over but next morning , it was worse. As she tried to touch the toy in his hand , he literally grabbed her collar and pushed her hands away.NOW ..we were all like :O
I do not know ,how I should interpret the whole episode :
1. Aryan is growing up to be an angry young man, swatting the kids around ?
2. Since he has been alone kid since so long , he does not know the joy of sharing. We did told both the kids to play together but the little girl did not give in.
3. "Yes We should Speak up !!" Aryan waited patiently for one day ..but then he had to fight for his rights.
We say , our kids are as we make them. In the day care older kids snatch toys from him and he can only cry if he does not do the same.So do I let him cry or teach him to fight back ? And if he is taught to fight back there , then why not at home , just because the kids in question here are his cousins or our guests ?
I know we should let him handle his own fights and decide on his own( as I suggested WIAN too), but then Morals ..we have to give him morals , which will form the base of his decisions.
Parenting definitely is not easy..scratching my head.

A Father's Anxiety
Today morning while driving down to office ...suddenly Anupam said "Hmm..Kya Kare".It was as if he was thinking loud.So I asked him what happened .."late ho gaye na".I thought he is worried coz we are late today. But he said , nope .."woh nahi...soch raha hoon ..kaash Monday kabhi na aaye."
Now, don't think , he was having 'Monday blues' on a Thursday or that he hates to go to work on a Monday. He is not a workoholic but he loves to work. The statement was a father's anxiety.Aryan will go to Day Care from coming monday.About 45 minutes prior to the statement ,we had a discussion about Aryan's daycare and the prepartions for his first day.I was already past the discussion, but it was still on Anupam's mind and he wished his watch stops ticking.
